Undergraduate admissions

Admission to undergraduate programs is based on tests conducted by the Knowledge and Skills Assessment Agency.

Online registration of applicants for admission to higher education institutions is proceeded through the website of the single interactive state services portal my.gov.uz  and the official website of the Agency for the Assessment of Knowledge and Skills under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan my.uzbmb.uz. Applications are accepted on an annual basis from June 20 to July (including July 20).

Applicants will:

have the right to choose up to five undergraduate programs with the same set and sequence of subjects for entrance exam and all forms of education at the same time;

have access to information on the date and location of exam, exams will be held on the dates set by the state commission for coordination of admission processes to public higher education institutions in the Republic of Uzbekistan (admission exams for the 2023-2024 academic year are scheduled from August 1 to August 13 );

have the opportunity to participate in the exam depending on the priority of the chosen undergraduate programs, priority the will be given first on the basis of a state scholarship, and then on a contract basis;

be notified about the result of the exam within 24 hours and will be able to find out admission decision by August 20 from their accoun on the portal.

The set of subjects, the number of exam questions, and evaluation criteria for undergraduate program admissions (including all forms of education):

Mandatory exams from 3 subjects for all applicants:

— Native language (Uzbek, Russian or Karakalpak language) – 10 questions (1.1 points for each, maximum score – 11 points);

— Mathematics – 10 questions (1.1 points for each, maximum score – 11 points);

— History of Uzbekistan – 10 questions (1.1 points for each, maximum score – 11 points).

The maximum possible score is 33 points.

Mandatory 2 subjects according to the chosen undergraduate program:

— 1st subject – 30 questions (3.1 points for each, maximum score – 93 points);

— 2nd subject – 30 questions (2.1 points for each, maximum score – 63 points).

The total possible score is 156 points.

Thus, applicants will be given a total of 90 exam questions (multiple choice tests) in 5 subjects for the upcoming academic year.

The total maximum possible score is 189 points.

Graduate admissions

The applications for graduate programs are submitted via the online application system of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan – magistr.edu.uz on an annual basis from July 1 to July 30 (including July 30).

Admission decision for graduate porgrams are of state higher education institutions is made based on the average score (GPA) of the applicant’s bachelor’s degree and the score of the relevant national or international certificate on the level of knowledge of a foreign language (IELTS,TOEFL,CEFR). No additional examination is required .

Admission decisions in state higher education institutions is made in August in accordance with the parameters of admission based on the state grant and contract (payment based), approved for the next academic year approved by the Supervisory Boards of Higher Education Institutions granted financial independence.
