The Career Center of the Tashkent State University of Economics was established by the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 11, 2019 No. PP-4391 “on measures to introduce new management principles into the system of higher and secondary special education”, by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 3, 2019 No. 967 “on the phased transfer of higher educational institutions to self-financing system” and No. 824 dated December 31, 2020 “on measures to improve the system related to the organization of the educational process in higher educational institutions”, and also in accordance with the “Regulations on the Board of Trustees of the Tashkent State University of Economics”, approved by the order of the Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education dated December 30, 2019 No. 1202, the Strategy set by the University when drawing up the staffing table for 2021, as well as in order to further increase labor productivity and effective organization, It was formed in accordance with Resolution No. 1 of January 14, 2021 “the organizational structure of the Tashkent State University of Economics” and the Board of Trustees of the University.

Functional tasks of the center

The Career Center tracks the number of graduates, their employment, provides graduates with periodically updated information on the availability of vacancies at large, medium and small state and non-state enterprises and institutions, directs all course students to internships based on memoranda and contracts. performs its functional tasks, such as preventing bureaucratic obstacles in the system, generating analytical data and optimizing the decision-making process.

The Purpose of the center

The goal of the career center is to increase the influence of the Tashkent state economy and graduates in the labor market, thereby providing students with relevant offers for practice and work during and after graduation, and thereby increasing the level of employment of graduates.

– Informing students about the knowledge, skills and qualifications required for the job;

– Forming a portfolio of orders, assigning graduates to work;

– Studying the compliance of the professional knowledge of graduates with the requirements of employers through the continuous implementation of marketing research in the market of educational services;

– Preparation of proposals for the opening of new educational areas and specialties, taking into account the development prospects of the economy of the Republic and relevant regions and social sphere networks;

– Formation of the current and prospective “portfolio of orders” for personnel, taking into account the needs of employers in terms of education and specialties;

– Publishing information about graduates to employers through mass media and posting them on the university’s website;

– Submitting information on the real needs of personnel and the results of distribution and placement of graduates to the final job to the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education;

– Participation in international exhibitions and fairs in order to demonstrate the university’s academic, scientific and personnel potential and establish cooperation with foreign higher education institutions;

– Creating a database of graduates;

– Providing information to students and graduates of the university about the vacancies currently available and required by the labor market;

– Organization of “Career Day” informational event and job fairs for university graduates;

– Creation of a database on the needs and opportunities of consumers of educational services, taking into account the ratio of supply and demand for personnel in the labor market.

The center is constantly establishing relations with the leading organizations and enterprises of the republic. Currently, cooperation agreements have been concluded with more than 100 organizations.

Master-classes, training-seminars, career days, internships and professional development programs for university students and graduates are regularly organized in connection with cooperation with the organizers. Currently, more than 100 students of the university are undergoing training programs in the system of the above-mentioned organizations. At the end of each academic year, career days are held with partner organizations in order to ensure the employment of graduates. 197 organizations and institutions participated in the career day organized for the graduates of the 2022-2023 academic year, and about 3,000 jobs were offered by them. In turn, information about 4,960 university graduates in the current academic year was brought to the attention of employers. According to the results of the event, employers interviewed more than 3,500 students, 736 of them were given employment, and about 1,500 students were given internships.

In addition, the career center actively participates in international education fairs in cooperation with joint educational programs of the university.

The Career Center regularly holds “Open Day” for high school and college graduates of our republic.


Within the Career Center, the “Future Builders” project was established in order to increase the practical knowledge of students, train them with leadership skills and provide them with work. The main goal and activities of the project are meaningful occupation of students’ free time, clubs and free training courses, open house day, co-working office, alumni club and fund, consulting services, development of innovative projects of enterprising students and organization of various sports competitions and clubs. Currently, the Project includes courses in English, Russian, public speaking, financial literacy, computer literacy, and logistics, and more than 100 students are involved in them. The organizers of the project provided employment to students who successfully completed the “secrets of successful interview” training course.

Introductory tours to leading companies of the country are held for project participants.

The career center allows active students of the university to participate in international summer university programs in order to spend their summer vacation meaningfully.
